This company did wonders! Made the world’s first bike with solid state battery

New Delhi. Finnish electric motorcycle manufacturer Verge Motorcycles has made a major breakthrough in battery technology by globally launching the TS Pro, which is the first production-spec electric motorcycle to use an all-solid-state battery. Unveiled at CES 2026, the TS Pro combines new battery chemistry with the brand’s hubless motor, making it one of the most advanced electric two-wheelers ever.

Major achievement in solid-state
Verge has become the first company to launch a vehicle in the market using this technology. While conventional lithium-ion and LFP batteries have liquid or gel electrolytes, this battery pack uses solid electrolyte, which significantly reduces the risk of thermal runaway and also increases safety.

Fast-charging support
TS Pro has CCS2 fast-charging support, which provides charging speed up to 200kW. The company claims that if an ultra-high-output charger is available, the battery can be charged up to 80 percent in just 10 minutes.

TS Pro is available in two battery sizes:

  • 20.2kWh – Range up to 350 km
  • 33.3kWh – Range up to 600 km

According to these figures, it has become one of the bikes with the longest range among the current production electric motorcycles. Apart from the battery innovations, the TS Pro uses Verge’s exclusive in-wheel hubless motor. This design employs electromagnets on the inner assembly, which work as opposed to permanent magnets mounted on the rim, and turn the wheel without a conventional axle or drivetrain.

Power output is also great
102kW (138.6hp) Peak Power 1,000Nm Torque 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds Despite such tremendous performance, the weight of the bike is 235 kg, but the company claims that its torque delivery and regenerative braking balances its heavy body.

These features are available
Rider aids, hardware and everyday utility TS Pro’s electronics include multiple levels of regenerative braking, dual-channel ABS, traction control and four riding modes – Range, Zen, Beast and Custom. Cruise control and heated grips are available as standard for comfort.

These features will also be available
Fully adjustable Ohlins or Wilburs components have been provided for the suspension, which varies depending on the variant. Brembo M4.32 monoblock callipers have been used for braking. Practical features include Pirelli tyres, 780 mm seat height and 140 mm ground clearance. A small compartment is also provided under the seat, in which things like gloves or charging cable can be kept.
