Suryakumar Yadav overtakes Glenn Maxwell: Suryakumar Yadav has registered a big record in his name by leaving behind Glenn Maxwell. Indian T20 team captain Suryakumar became the highest run scorer batting at number four in T20 International cricket. He made this record as soon as he completed the third run in the first T20 match against New Zealand.
Suryakumar Yadav broke Maxwell’s big record. New Delhi. Suryakumar Yadav made his 100th T20 International match memorable. Right-handed batsman Suryakumar became the highest run scorer in T20 International cricket while batting at number four. During this period, he left behind Australia’s powerful batsman Glenn Maxwell. To leave Maxwell behind, Suryakumar needed to score only three runs in the first T20 match against New Zealand. Suryakumar Yadav made this match memorable by achieving this milestone in his 100th T20 International match.
Glenn Maxwell had the record of scoring the most 1659 runs while batting at number four in T20 International cricket, which has been broken by Suryakumar Yadav. Surya has now gone beyond this. Suryakumar Yadav’s form was not good for some time but he returned to form by playing a brilliant innings against New Zealand. Surya along with Abhishek Sharma took charge of the team and pulled it out of difficult times. Suryakumar scored 32 runs in 22 balls in the first T20 match which included four fours and a six. He along with Abhishek Sharma made a partnership of 99 runs for the third wicket.

Rohit has played maximum 159 matches
Earlier, Suryakumar Yadav became the fourth Indian player to play 100 T20 International matches. Before Surya, Rohit, Virat and Hardik Pandya had achieved this feat. Rohit retired after playing 159 T20 International matches, while Virat Kohli said goodbye to this format after playing 125 T20 matches.
New Zealand won the toss, invited India to bat first
New Zealand captain Mitchell Santner won the toss and decided to field in the first T20 International of the five-match series against India here on Wednesday. Indian captain Suryakumar said that Shreyas Iyer, Harshit Rana, Ravi Bishnoi and Kuldeep Yadav are not playing in this match. New Zealand has given debut to Christian Clarke.
