samsung galaxy z fold 7 review is it good option to buy or not what is not good in premium phone- Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7: Is it a profitable deal to buy a phone worth Rs 2 lakh or not, what is the good thing about it?
Samsung has launched its new Galaxy Z Fold 7 in this month’s Unpacked event. For the last few years, the company was the only one which introduced fold phone, but gradually more companies came into competition with it. This is the reason why it became necessary to make big changes to remain different from everyone. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 has been introduced in a completely new style. It includes lightweight design, AI features and camera like Ultra series. However, its price is about Rs 10,000 more than the previous model. The starting price of the new Galaxy Z Fold 7 is Rs 1,74,999. The question is, do these upgrades make it worth buying? Let us know.
This time Samsung has finally made a Fold that feels compact and light in the hand. The weight of Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 now is only 217 grams, whereas the weight of the previous Fold 6 was 239 grams. The thickness has also reduced and now it looks more premium.
The hinge design has been reinforced, making fold and unfold smoother. Yes, the camera module is slightly protruding, which makes the phone rest easily on the table. But overall the design has become better than ever.
Display: Dual Screen Fun
Its external screen now comes with a 6.5-inch AMOLED panel, with a 120Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 protection. This screen is very useful for calls, messages and social media scrolling and now even holding the phone feels easier.
The larger screen found inside is now 8 inches Dynamic AMOLED, with 2600 nits brightness and 120Hz support. The good thing is that now the crease on the screen has almost disappeared, due to which the fun of watching videos and working doubles. The colors look bright and natural, although the display would have looked better if the bezels were a little thinner.
Performance and Hardware
The new Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset has been provided in Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, which has been offered with the option of 12GB and 16GB RAM and up to 1TB storage. Be it gaming, multitasking or running heavy apps, the phone does every task with ease.
You can do small tasks with the cover screen and can take full advantage of multitasking by unfolding it. There is power for gaming, but its foldable design may seem a bit awkward for long hours of gaming.
Software: Android 16 first
Samsung has already given Android 16 in its new Fold and Flip before Google. On top of this, there is the company’s One UI 8 interface, which is more stable and smooth.
Samsung is now promising 7 years of OS and security updates, which means your Fold 7 will stay up-to-date for longer. This is a big advantage, especially in such an expensive phone.
The camera is also amazing
This time Samsung has given 20 megapixel primary camera of Ultra series in Fold 7. With this, a 10 megapixel telephoto and 12 megapixel ultra-wide camera is available. Daylight photos are quite detailed and with natural colors. Low-light photos also produce clean and sharp images, without much noise.
Talking about the front camera, its 10 megapixel sensor is fine, selfies are good but better options are available in the market. Camera performance has now become quite strong as per the Fold series and this can become its biggest feature.
Battery and Charging
The phone has the same 4,400mAh battery which was in Fold 6. It gives a backup of one day but one should not expect more than this. The biggest disappointment is that it has only 25W charging support, which is considered very slow in today’s time. Other companies are offering more than 100W charging, where Fold 7 lags behind.
Galaxy AI and new features
Galaxy Fold 7 has Galaxy AI 3.0, which comes with text translation, notes summary and Google Gemini tools. These features are good but still need further improvement. On the other hand, Samsung has removed S Pen support this time, which may disappoint many users. The Fold series looked more practical with the S Pen.
Should I buy or not?
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 has now become lighter, slimmer and more powerful than before. Its features are 200 megapixel camera, Android 16, great display and Ultra like experience. But, the 4,400mAh battery and only 25W charging lags far behind today. Also, removing support for S Pen also seems to be a wrong decision. If you want the best and latest of the Fold series then Fold 7 can be a great option. But if you want more battery and charging then perhaps you should wait for the next series.
