Parents have to strike a balance between these two extremes to raise a responsible child.
#Kolkata: A child’s behavior has many layers. They are honest and gentle natured. Again, without the knowledge of the parents, some behaviors (Parenting Tips) occur in them which become a cause of concern. There may be two reasons behind this. One, either this child has been given too much love and importance or no one has ever really listened to him.
Parents have to come up with a balance between these two extremes to raise a responsible child (Parenting Tips). Parents who are already struggling with this behavioral problem in their child should address the problem in time.
1) Rules should be taught from the beginning
When the child is developing mentally and physically, he should be taught values and rules. Waiting for them to grow up will take a long time. If you follow the rules and have values (Parenting Tips), it will work in the future.
2) should be taught to differentiate between right and wrong
Parents experience more than children in every sense. So they should be taught to judge what is right and what is wrong from the beginning. If you do something wrong, explain it and praise it if you do something right, the child will understand the difference.
3) The child should be given an opportunity to speak and should be listened to
Communication is a process in which two people must have an equal contribution. In other words, if the parents just say it and the child listens, then the problem will increase and the book will not decrease. Children should be given the opportunity to speak as parents speak to them.
4) Always praise instead of condemning
It is not right to keep saying such things in front of the child that the child cannot do anything, nothing will be done by him. It creates undue stress on him. Rather, sometimes if he does small good deeds, he should be encouraged and praised, so that his morale increases.
5) Don’t wait for the right time
If the child becomes temperamental or shows aggressive behavior, then it is not enough to wait for him to grow up. This behavior will stand on its own. The matter should be suppressed with a firm hand while there is time.
6) Change yourself too
Parents are the first role models children look up to when they grow up. So if our behavior shows temper or aggression, the child will follow it.
