Skoda will launch the facelift model of Kushaq next week. New Delhi. Skoda Kushaq, famous for its strength and performance, is now all set to come in a new avatar. Skoda India is going to launch the facelift model of its popular SUV Kushaq next week. Just before the launch, the company has released its new teasers on social media. These teasers not only give a glimpse of the new design of the vehicle, but also give big hints about its features.
The new visuals of the Kushaq facelift have been shot amidst the yellow blooming fields of mustard, which is reminiscent of the romantic scenes of the iconic Bollywood film ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’ (DDLJ). The SUV is hidden under a green cover and comes with the tagline – “Get ready to fall in love”.
It is clear from the teaser video that important changes have been made in the exterior of the new Kushaq. The biggest attraction is its full-width LED daytime running light (DRL) strip, which makes the front look of the vehicle sharper and futuristic than ever. Apart from this, it looks more muscular with the new grille and updated headlight units. The rear now has ‘Illuminated SKODA’ lettering (name in glowing letters) and a connected LED light bar.
Interior and Features
You will get to see a better combination of technology and comfort in the cabin of Kushaq facelift. Skoda aims to defeat its tough rivals in the segment like Hyundai Creta and Maruti Grand Vitara. You can get a big sunroof in this. It will also have a large touchscreen infotainment system with a fully digital instrument cluster and new graphics. It is expected that it will have ventilated seats which will be suitable for long journeys.
ADAS entry
Kushaq facelift will come with 1.0-litre and 1.5-litre TSI petrol engines. The biggest update regarding safety will be Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System). It will include features like adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist and autonomous emergency braking.
Another important change can be seen in the braking system. Rear disc brakes are now likely to be provided in 1.5-litre variants. However, there is also talk that now only DSG automatic gearbox will be available with the bigger engine (1.5L), which may be a bit disappointing for manual lovers.
