The Lava Play Ultra 5G features a 6.67-inch flat AMOLED screen with Full HD+ resolution. The display supports a 120Hz refresh rate and can reach a peak brightness of up to 1000 nits, delivering clear visuals in a variety of lighting conditions. For photography, the device has a dual rear camera setup that includes a 64MP Sony IMX682 primary sensor with optical image stabilization and a 5MP macro lens. It also has a 13MP front camera for selfies and video calls. The camera system has multiple photography modes like Night, HDR, Pro Video, Dual View Video, Macro, Panorama, Slow Motion and Time Lapse.
The Lava Play Ultra 5G is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset, which is built on 4nm architecture and uses Mali-G615 MC2 GPU for graphics. MediaTek HyperEngine optimizes performance for gaming, delivering up to 20 percent higher frame rates and smoother visuals, according to the company, while also managing power consumption during long sessions.
The device comes in two RAM options, 6GB and 8GB LPDDR4X, both with 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Users can expand the storage up to 1TB via microSD card and can also add an additional 8GB via virtual RAM. The handset runs on Android 15 and will get two major OS upgrades and three years of security updates, and there is no pre-installed bloatware.
