There are less than two months left for the launch of Apple’s next generation iPhone 17 Pro series and speculations and leaks about it are increasing continuously. The upcoming iPhone 17 lineup is expected to include iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max. According to initial leaks and reports, all these models will see significant upgrades, such as better display, advanced camera technology, new design and many new capabilities. According to recent reports, Apple may launch the new iPhone 17 models as early as September, now just a few weeks away, the countdown has officially started.

iPhone 17 launch date: Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has told in his latest Power On newsletter that Apple fans should mark the week of September 8 in their calendars, because the next iPhone lineup is likely to be announced and sales will start at this time.

Gurman said Apple traditionally launches new iPhones shortly after Labor Day, which is September 1 this year. Following this pattern, the launch event is expected to take place next week, which is in line with the tech giant’s usual release timeline.

iPhone 17 chipset: According to a recent post by a user named Fixed Focus Digital on Weibo, the iPhone 17 Air may feature Apple’s A19 Pro chip and not the regular A19. However, the version used in the 17 Air will come with a 5-core GPU, while the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max are likely to have a more powerful 6-core GPU setup.

iPhone 17 design: According to reports, Apple is planning to reintroduce the aluminum frame across the entire iPhone 17 lineup, including the Pro and Pro Max versions. This is a change from the brand’s recent approach, in which it used stainless steel or titanium for its premium models, like the iPhone 15 Pro, while using aluminum for budget-friendly options like the iPhone SE and iPhone 16.

iPhone 17 camera: Talking about cameras, Apple is rumored to upgrade the front-facing camera of the iPhone 17 from 12MP to a 24MP sensor, which promises sharper selfies and clearer video output. The regular version is expected to have a dual-lens setup, which will include a single 48MP main rear camera. The iPhone 17 Pro Max, meanwhile, is likely to have three 48MP sensors, with wide, ultra-wide and telephoto lenses, which will also have the capability of video recording in 8K resolution.

iPhone 17 expected India price: In 2025, Apple is expected to maintain the current pricing approach for its base iPhone models. According to early leaks, the iPhone 17 may launch in India at a starting price of around Rs 89,900, while the new iPhone 17 Air may be available for around Rs 99,900. The top-end iPhone 17 Pro Max may be priced around Rs 1,64,900 and the slightly less premium iPhone 17 Pro may be available for around Rs 1,39,900.
