In the first match played in Nagpur, while Abhishek Sharma and Rinku Singh showed their hand in batting for India, spinner Varun Chakraborty and fast bowler Arshdeep Singh dominated in bowling. The second T20 match of the series will be played on 23 January in Raipur.

To chase the target of 239 runs set by India, the New Zealand team could score only 190 runs for 7 wickets. The target was too big for New Zealand
This target was very difficult for New Zealand. He fought well and faced India’s two best bowlers, Varun Chakravarthy and Jasprit Bumrah. But the goal was very big. Devon Conway was out early in the first over of Arshdeep, but Glenn Phillips was in excellent form. As long as Phillips was at the crease, there was little hope for New Zealand to achieve this target. Mark Chapman also batted well.
