Yamaha Motor Company has recently introduced four new products – XSR155 neo-retro roadster, FZ-Rev, and two electric scooters – Erox Electric and EC – Yamaha XSR155 is priced at Rs 1.50 lakh, while Yamaha FZ-Rev is priced at Rs 1.17 lakh (ex-showroom). The Yamaha Aerox Electric and EC-06 electric scooters have made their official debut and will be available in showrooms in the first quarter of 2026. The company claims that Yamaha Aerox Electric offers a range of 106 km on a single charge. Dual 1.5kWh removable battery
The Yamaha Aerox Electric is powered by dual 9.5kW/48Nm electric motors, which come with dual 1.5kWh removable batteries. ‘High Energy Type Cells’ are used in these battery packs which offer better performance. It gives a range of 106 km and has 4 riding modes – Eco, Standard, Power and Boost. The braking system consists of front and rear disc brakes, which are powered by ABS.
Will be charged for Rs 14-15
Since 1.5kWh battery is used in this scooter. A 2kWh battery usually uses 2 to 2.5 units of power to be fully charged. Accordingly, it will consume about 1.75 units to 2 units of power. Suppose the price per unit in your city is Rs 7, then your scooter will be charged for Rs 14 to 15.

Yamaha EC-06
Yamaha EC-06 Based on the River Indy, the Yamaha EC-06 electric scooter features a 4kWh battery pack and a 6.7kW electric motor. This setup offers an IDC (Indian Driving Cycle) range of 160 km on a single charge. The battery takes approximately 9 hours to fully charge using a normal power socket. This e-scooter offers a top speed of 90 kmph. It has three riding modes, reverse assist and a color LCD instrument cluster.

The new EC-06 electric scooter looks more boxy than the River Indy. Some of its key highlights include a color LCD display, USB charging, telescopic front fork, twin rear shocks and 14-inch front and rear wheels. Unlike the 43-litre underseat storage of the River Indy, the new Yamaha EC-06 offers 24.5-litres of space.
