Harley-Davidson X440 T becomes cheaper by Rs 25,000, now the price has become this much
New Delhi. A few days ago, Harley-Davidson India announced the launch of the new X440 T in the domestic market, with a starting price of Rs 2.79 lakh (ex-showroom). To improve the brand’s entry-level lineup, the price of the standard X440 has been cut by up to Rs 25,000. Now this bike is available only in S and Vivid trims, as the base Denim trim has been removed.
Price of Vivid variant of X440
The Vivid variant of the Harley-Davidson X440 is priced at Rs 2,34,500, while the S trim is priced at Rs 2,54,900 (ex-showroom). This motorcycle will now get new front suspension tuning, which is also given in the new X440 T. A total of 72 changes have been made in this. The biggest change is seen in its rear end and new rear sub-frame.
4 color options
X440 T has been introduced in four colors – Vivid Black, Pearl Red, Pearl Blue and Pearl White. Apart from the graphical changes, it also gets a new electronic throttle body, which provides a ride-by-wire throttle system and two ride modes (Rain and Road). Apart from this, switchable rear ABS system has also been added.
440 cc air and oil-cooled SOHC 2V engine
It has the same 440 cc air and oil-cooled SOHC 2V engine, which gives maximum power of 27 bhp at 6000 rpm and peak torque of 38 Nm at 4000 rpm. The powertrain is mated to a six-speed transmission, while a slipper and assist clutch is standard. The exhaust system has also been updated for better efficiency and cooling, along with a heat shield.
Dual-channel ABS system
Built on a trellis frame, the HD X440 T features 43 mm KYB-sourced upside down front forks with 130 mm of travel. Gas charged twin shock absorbers have been provided at the rear, which have 7-step preload adjustability. For braking, 320 mm front disc and 240 mm rear disc brakes have been provided, which are supported by dual-channel ABS system. HD has also added bar-end mirrors to increase the appeal of the X440 T. It has 170 mm ground clearance, 1,418 mm wheelbase and 805 mm seat height. It rides on 18-inch 100/90 section front and 17-inch 140/70 section MRF Zapper Hyke tubeless tyres. The fuel tank capacity is 13.5 liters and its weight is 192 kg.
