Due to this company, iPhone 17 may be banned even before launching, know what is the whole matter?
According to TOI report, ITC banned the import of OLED panels after BOE was found guilty. That means BOE will have to stop selling its existing stock in America. Apple only uses BOE’s OLED displays. Not only iPhone 17, but also iPhone models like iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 16iPhone 16 Plus, and iPhone 16e also have BOE’s OLED displays. In such a situation, their sale may be banned in America.
Will Apple depend on Samsung?
While the ITC is expected to take a final decision by November 2025, Apple has only a few months left to change its display supply partner. BOE has significantly increased its involvement in Apple’s supply chain and plans to supply advanced LTPO OLED panels for the upcoming iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max. However, industry insiders say that LTPO panels do not meet Apple’s standards and may be limited to units sold only in China. If BOE is banned completely, Apple will have to rely on Samsung and LG for OLED display panels for its current and future iPhone models.
