New Delhi: A big decision has been taken in the meeting held in Bangladesh regarding T-20 World Cup. Bangladesh government made it clear that it will not send its team to India. It was also decided in the meeting that Bangladesh Cricket Board will once again appeal to ICC to reconsider its decision. Earlier, the International Cricket Council i.e. ICC had clearly rejected the request to shift the match.

Giving information about the meeting, Bangladesh Cricket Board President Aminul Islam Bulbul said, ‘We will continue talks with the ICC. We want to play the World Cup, but will not play in India. We will keep fighting. Some surprising decisions were taken in the ICC Board meeting. Mustafizur’s case is not an isolated issue. In that matter (India) was the sole decision maker. Bangladesh Cricket Board president Aminul Islam Bulbul said:

The ICC rejected our request to organize the match outside India. We are uncertain about the state of world cricket, its popularity is declining, they have imprisoned 2 crore people. Cricket is going to Olympics, but if a country like ours is not going there, it is a failure of ICC:

The way for Scotland to play seems to be clear
On Wednesday, the world body had given an ultimatum to Bangladesh that either they should agree to go to India or they will be replaced by some other team. The ICC said there was no threat to the safety of its players, officials or fans in India. Bangladesh was given time till Thursday to take the decision. However, taking a tough stance, Bangladesh’s sports advisor Asif Nazrul announced after a meeting with the national team players that the ICC’s stance was not acceptable to him.

Three matches will be held in Kolkata and one match in Mumbai.
Bangladesh has to play four matches in India (three in Kolkata and one in Mumbai). The country raised security concerns when fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman was dropped from the Indian Premier League on the instructions of the Indian Cricket Board due to ‘events happening around him’.
