TVS Motor Company has performed brilliantly in January 2026, registering a strong growth of 29 percent in total sales. The company sold a total of 5,11,766 units this month, which is much more than 3,97,623 units sold in January 2025. This figure has proved to be a big milestone for the company, as total sales have crossed 5 lakh for the first time.

The main basis of this success has been the strong demand for two-wheelers. Total two-wheeler sales increased by 28 percent to 4,94,195 units, whereas in January last year it was 3,87,671 units. Sales of two-wheelers in the domestic market were even more impressive. It jumped by 30 percent to reach 3,83,262 units, which is much better than 2,93,860 units in January 2025.

Segment Wise Sales Report

If seen segment wise, motorcycle sales increased by 26 percent and stood at 2,19,188 units, which was only 1,74,388 units last year. A growth of 30 percent was also seen in the scooter segment, where sales reached 2,22,926 units. These figures show that TVS’s popular models like Apache, Jupiter, Ntorq and Raider have maintained a strong hold in the market.

Increased demand for EV

The company’s strategy in electric vehicles (EV) has also paid off. EV sales jumped 50 percent to 37,756 units in January 2026, much higher than 25,195 units last year. The EV segment is growing rapidly with the increasing demand for models like iQube, which shows TVS’s strong position in the future of mobility.

Growth in three-wheeler sales

The growth in three-wheeler sales was also highest. Overall sales reached 17,571 units with an increase of 77 percent, which is much higher than last year’s 9,952 units. Exports also increased by 21 percent. A total of 1,22,343 units were exported, in which two-wheeler exports increased by 18 percent.

This performance is a result of TVS Motor’s wide product portfolio, strong dealer network, customer-centric innovation and deep penetration in both domestic and foreign markets. The company has maintained a balance in everything from affordable ICE vehicles to modern EVs. These sales for January 2026 give TVS a strong position in the Indian two-wheeler industry and raise hopes of creating further records in FY26.
