Churu: Before the festive season, the government has given a booster dose to the automobile sector by changing the GST slab. The government has reduced the GST on bikes with engines less than 350 cc from 28% to 18%. This decision of the central government will not only provide relief to the middle class people but will also give a new impetus to the automobile sector in the coming festive season. These bikes are now available at even more affordable prices.

Let us tell you that in the 56th GST counseling meeting, the government has abolished the two tax slabs of 12 and 28%. Now mainly there are only two slabs of 5% and 18% in which most of the goods have been kept. The new rates will be applicable from 22 September 2025, the effect of which will be clearly visible in the coming festive season.

Sales will increase in the festive season
Ashok Kumar, owner of Ashoka Motor in Churu, says that this decision of the government will provide great relief to those people from middle class families who were dreaming of getting a two wheeler. Ashok Kumar says that after the decision of relief in GST, the sale of two wheeler bikes will increase in the coming festive season because people who were lagging behind after seeing the rates till now will now make up their mind to buy the bikes due to reduced rates.
