WhatsApp is preparing to bring a new and interesting feature for its iOS users. According to reports, the company is working on cover photo feature for personal profiles. With the help of this feature, users will be able to add a cover photo in their profile, just like the one seen on social media platforms like Facebook and LinkedIn.
According to the information, this new feature has been seen in WhatsApp iOS beta version 26.1.10.71, which is available for some selected users through TestFlight app. Feature tracker WABetaInfo has reported that WhatsApp is creating a separate section in the profile interface, where the cover photo will be visible.
According to the report, this cover photo will appear just above the profile photo. This means that now there will not only be a round profile photo, but there will also be a big banner-like photo on top of it. This feature is definitely new, but not completely unknown, because this feature is already present in WhatsApp business accounts. There business users use cover photos to showcase their brand or offer.
The process of adding cover photo is also expected to be quite easy. Users can tap on the cover photo and either click a new photo or choose a photo from their gallery.
