iPhone like technology now in Infinix’s cheap phones, calling will be done without network, satellite support will be available
This time at CES 2026, Infinix has shown a feature that has caught everyone’s attention. Generally, technology like satellite communication has till now been limited to expensive smartphones like iPhone, Samsung or Huawei, but Infinix is preparing to bring it to mid-range users. The company has confirmed that it is going to provide the facility to send calls and messages through satellite in its upcoming smartphones.
Infinix said that this new feature will be launched with its upcoming Note 60 series. The special thing about this technology is that even when there is no mobile network, users will still be able to make calls and send messages. This means that it can be easy to stay connected even in mountains, forests or any remote area.
According to the company, this satellite feature works on an Always-On Unified Communication System. This means that the phone will automatically switch between mobile network and satellite network. Users will not need any separate registration or complex setup for this, which makes it much easier.
Infinix says that its aim is to make premium technology available to more people. Even before this, the company has introduced wireless charging technology like MagSafe in its affordable smartphones. Now through satellite communication, Infinix once again wants to show that advanced features should not be limited only to expensive phones.
However, Infinix has not yet clarified with which satellite service provider it will work. Apple has used Globalstar for this feature in its iPhone. In the case of Infinix, this information may be revealed later.
At present it is difficult to say how often common users will use this feature, but it can prove to be very useful in emergencies. Especially at a time when the discussion about services like satellite internet and Starlink is gaining momentum in countries like India.
Overall, this step of Infinix shows that in the coming time, satellite technology will not be limited to just flagship smartphones, but can also be available to ordinary users.
