It is said that talent does not depend on anyone. She makes her own way. One such story is of Kajal Prakash Rajvaidya, born in a small town of Akola in Maharashtra. Battling all the struggles, obstacles and storms, at the age of just 21, in the year 2015, Kajal established the company ‘Kajal Innovation and Technical Solution (KITS)’. Through innovation, Kajal’s company is now teaching technologies like robotics, automation through sports to students in renowned schools, colleges and institutions of the country.
Kajal says that she did not have any business experience. Father used to run a panhandler. The father wanted to educate his children well and was a son of money. But he was determined to study, so after teaching in the Zilla Parishad school till the fourth class, he got admitted in Manutai Kanya Shala, located four kilometers away. Girls are not charged fees here. Kajal had to walk every day to reach school. His income was not much, so there came a time when he had to work as a recurring agent of a private bank.
Doordarshan’s robot show became the turning point of life
The turning point of Kajal’s life came when she watched a show related to robots on Doordarshan. Then Kajal also decided to make a robot. Kajal got admission in Electronics in Polytechnic and started working towards achieving the goal of making a robot. During this time his family came into trouble. Father became unemployed. Didn’t even have the strength to pay the polytechnic fees. Still, his father somehow arranged for a loan and got him admitted to an engineering college. Then Kajal prepared the syllabus for the new technology and went to the colleges of Pune and shared it with the students. Here there was failure but did not give up. After returning to Akola, she somehow started managing her expenses through odd jobs. Along with this, she kept learning robotics through the internet in her spare time from coaching etc. After some time, she started going to primary schools and taking robotics workshops for fifth class children. From here Kajal started trying her hand in business by starting a kits company.
