This 15 year old boy made economical electric bike by making full use of the lockdown

But, a 15 year old child made full use of this holiday. Prathamesh Sutara is a resident of Nippani taluk of Belgaum district, who has made an electric bike on his own amid this pandemic. On this electric bike, you can cover a distance of up to 40 kilometers after charging once.

Actually, during the lockdown amid the pandemic, Prathamesh thought of some creative work. He asked his parents to prepare an electric bike. Prathamesh’s father Prakash Sutara was happy to hear that his son was going to do some kind of work. Prakash Sutara is an electrician. Prathamesh was fully supported by his family.

Parts made by collecting materials from scrap
After this, Prathamesh started collecting all the scrap which could be used to make a bike. Since his father himself is an electrician, he got most of the necessary items from his father’s garage. After this Prathamesh made 48 voltage Lid Acid Battery. Apart from this, he prepared one motor each of 48 voltage and 750 watt and one electric rechargeable motor.

Talking to News 18, Prathamesh Sutara said, ‘In today’s time, fuel prices are skyrocketing and common people cannot spend so much. Even after the lockdown, I remained sitting at home. After school closed, I thought of doing something on my own. After this, I prepared an electric bike with the help of my father. For this, I also did some research on the internet so that I could get the correct information.

Spent only Rs 25 thousand
Prathamesh has spent only Rs 25,000 to prepare this bike. If we compare the price of electric bikes available in the market, it is very economical.

Prathamesh said, ‘Once charged it gives a mileage of 40 kilometers. The maximum speed of this bike is 40 kilometers per hour. One special thing is that this bike also has reverse gear.

Father’s chest swelled with pride
Prakash Sutara is proud of his son’s achievement and says, ‘I am very happy for my son because he used his free time for good work. Despite being an electrician, I did not know much about the electric bike mechanism itself. During this adventure, I also got to learn a lot from my son. I hope that one day it will do something big, so that we can be proud of it.
