Yamaha has launched its XSR155 in India, which is priced at Rs 1.50 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). This new model in Yamaha’s 155cc lineup brings together retro design and modern engineering, giving bike lovers a neo-retro motorcycle built on the trusted foundation of the R15 and MT-15.
nostalgic design
Underneath this nostalgic design is Yamaha’s famous 155cc, liquid-cooled, 4-valve engine, which features Variable Valve Actuation (VVA). This engine produces 18.4bhp at 10,000rpm and 14.1Nm of torque at 7,500rpm, and is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with assist and slipper clutch for smooth shifts.
Will get deltabox frame
The Deltabox frame, which is shared with the R15 and MT-15, forms a solid chassis. Suspension duties are handled by upside down forks at the front and monoshock at the rear, while an aluminum swingarm contributes to the bike’s light 137kg curb weight. The bike is equipped with disc brakes on both the front and rear ends. This includes dual-channel ABS and traction control.

Visually, the XSR155 sports a retro silhouette with a round LED headlamp and taillamp, a teardrop-shaped 10-litre fuel tank, and a flat single-piece seat that reinforces its minimalist aesthetic.
