Sarfaraz Khan smashes 17th century: Sarfaraz Khan has started the year with a bang. Playing for Mumbai in the Ranji Trophy match, he scored a brilliant century against Hyderabad. This is the 17th century of right-handed batsman Sarfaraz in his 91st first class innings. During this period he also completed 5000 runs. Sarfaraz is unbeaten after scoring 142 runs.

Sarfaraz Khan-Siddesh Lad made a partnership of 249 runs
Thanks to the brilliant innings of Sarfaraz Khan (142 not out) and captain Siddhesh Lad (104), Mumbai scored 332 runs for four wickets on the first day. Mumbai started well with an opening partnership of 60 runs. But lost three wickets within the next 22 runs, one of which was taken by the new captain Mohammad Siraj. Sarfaraz and Lad batted for almost 50 overs and made a partnership of 249 runs for the fourth wicket. After which Lad was out LBW on the ball of Rohit Rayudu. Sarfaraz, batting at a fast pace, hit nine fours and four sixes in his innings and his strike rate at the end of the day’s play was 83.74, while Lad neutralized Mumbai’s attack with the help of 10 fours and two sixes in 179 balls.

Sarfaraz Khan has scored unbeaten 142 runs in 164 balls. During this he hit 11 fours and five sixes. With this brilliant inning of Sarfaraz, 42-time Ranji champion Mumbai has taken steps towards a big score. Sarfaraz scored 329 runs in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in the 2025-26 season, while he scored 303 runs in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. This promising cricketer has scored 320 runs in Ranji Trophy and he also scored a century in Syed Mushtaq Ali. He has scored a century in this Ranji Trophy match. Sarfaraz was recently bought by Chennai Super Kings in the auction for Rs 75 lakh.
