Pakistan Cricket: Traitor Pakistan Cricket! First instigated Bangladesh against India, now retreated itself
New Delhi. Rejecting all the demands of Bangladesh, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has clearly said that it will have to play its matches of the upcoming T20 World Cup 2026 in India as per the scheduled schedule. If the Bangladesh Cricket Board refuses to do so, it will be thrown out of the tournament. After this decision of ICC, Pakistan has expressed disappointment, which is reportedly standing with Bangladesh in this entire matter. Now the Pakistan Board seems to be distancing itself from this entire matter. If sources are to be believed, Pakistan is definitely supporting Bangladesh on this issue, but withdrawing from the tournament is not being considered in any way.
Citing security reasons, Bangladesh had demanded to shift its T20 World Cup matches from India to Sri Lanka, but the ICC rejected this request. After this decision, some former players of Pakistan and people associated with cricket expressed their displeasure. According to the report of Telecom Asia Sport, Pakistani sources said, ‘Pakistan supported Bangladesh in principle, because on India’s insistence, Pakistan’s matches were shifted from Pakistan to Dubai, but when Bangladesh put forward its point on the same basis, it was not accepted, which is disappointing.’

Pakistan will play T20 World Cup
Pakistan had threatened to withdraw from the tournament!
Some reports had come out in which it was said that if ICC does not shift the match against Bangladesh out of India then it will also not play T20 World Cup 2026. However, no official comment was made by Pakistan Board officials regarding this. Now the Pakistan Board is showing itself to be distancing itself from this matter. Sources say that Pakistan is definitely considering different options on this issue, but withdrawing from the tournament has never been an option.

Bangladesh Cricket Board has to take the decision within 24 hours.
Sources said, ‘Pakistan officials understand that they have no solid reason to boycott the event, because they are already playing at a neutral venue, where they do not have any security concerns.’ The report also said that Pakistan never officially threatened to withdraw from the tournament. Most of the news circulating on social media was based on rumours. Even though Pakistan has termed it as a rumour, its intentions against India are also not hidden from anyone.
Meanwhile, former Pakistan wicketkeeper-batsman Kamran Akmal also reacted to the decision. He said that this decision of ICC was expected. Akmal told Telecom Asia, ‘Most of the ICC decisions are in favor of India. Member countries should be treated equally. Citing the example of the Champions Trophy, he said India’s wish was accepted because it generates huge revenue for the ICC. According to Akmal, India had played an important role in organizing the 2023 Asia Cup on the hybrid model.
However, Akmal also admitted that the ICC’s decision in this case too was difficult. The schedule had already been decided and it was not easy to change it at this time. The Men’s T20 World Cup will be jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka from 7 February to 8 March.
