Kawasaki launches 2026 Versys 650 in India, priced at Rs 8.63 lakh. New color, change as per E20 fuel norms, engine 649cc, competes with Honda NX500.

New Delhi. Kawasaki has launched the 2026 Versys 650 in the Indian market, which is priced at Rs 8.63 lakh (ex-showroom). With this update, the price of the bike has increased by Rs 15,000 compared to the previous model, while not much changes have been made in the bike. Only new color option and changes have been made as per E20 fuel norms. In the new model, the Versys 650 has been given a gray and black paint scheme, which also includes Kawasaki’s signature green highlights. Apart from this, the design, features and mechanicals remain the same as before.
Engine and Performance
The Versys 650 gets Kawasaki’s 649cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine, which is also offered in many other bikes of the brand like the Ninja 650. This engine generates power of 67bhp and torque of 61Nm and is now fully compatible with E20 petrol.
Touring specific hardware
Being a road-biased adventure tourer, the biggest feature of the Versys 650 is its upright riding position, high stance and suspension setup. It has long-travel suspension of 150 mm at the front and 145 mm at the rear. Also, a 4-way adjustable windscreen is provided, which makes it easier to adjust to different riding conditions. The 4.3-inch color TFT display handles rider information and connectivity functions.
price and competition
This bike has a large fuel tank of 21 liters, which helps in long distance touring. Its curb weight is 220 kg, seat height is 845 mm and ground clearance is 170 mm. Priced at Rs 8.63 lakh (ex-showroom), the 2026 Kawasaki Versys 650 holds a niche in the middleweight touring segment in India. Its closest alternative is Honda NX500.
