Bangladesh Cricket Board President Aminul Islam is expecting a miracle from the ICC. ICC has clearly said that the T20 World Cup matches that Bangladesh has to play in India will be played in India as per the scheduled time. Whereas Bangladesh, citing security reasons, has said that all its World Cup matches which are to be held in India should be shifted to Sri Lanka.
Bangladesh Cricket Board has to take the decision within 24 hours. New Delhi. Bangladesh Cricket Board President Aminul Islam has said that if ICC changes its decision and shifts Bangladesh’s matches out of India, then their team can participate in the ICC T20 World Cup. This announcement from the BCB came hours after the ICC rejected Bangladesh’s request to shift the venue of the matches as all but two members of the ICC Board have voted against Bangladesh’s request. The two who voted for Bangladesh are Bangladesh and the other is Pakistan.
The solidarity shown at the last moment by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) also had no effect on the ICC. ICC Board has given one last chance to Bangladesh. He has been given one more day to decide whether he wants to play in India or not. If Bangladesh refuses on Thursday, ICC will field Scotland in the World Cup instead. Because Bangladesh Cricket Board is adamant on its demand to shift the venue of its matches.

Bangladesh Cricket Board has to take the decision within 24 hours.
Bangladesh has 24 hours time
Bangladesh Cricket Board has 24 hours to decide whether to go to India for the World Cup to be held from February 7 to March 8. If they do not do so, the ICC will include some other country in their place. BCB will have to approach its government again, which is not ready to change its stand regarding participation in this prestigious event to be held in India. They will take the final decision in the next few hours. If Bangladesh fails to meet the deadline, there is a strong possibility of Scotland replacing Bangladesh in Group C.
‘I am expecting a miracle from ICC’
Aminul Islam said, ‘I am expecting a miracle from the ICC. Who doesn’t want to play the World Cup?’ He further said, ‘We can’t really comment after the ICC press release. The meeting lasted for one and a half hours. Before the voting started, we told the ICC Board the reasons for our decision. We did not want to participate in voting. We retreated. Bangladesh players want to play the World Cup. Bangladesh government also wants Bangladesh to play the World Cup. But we don’t think India is safe for our players.
‘I don’t want to put pressure on the government’
BCB President further said, ‘We requested them to shift the matches to Sri Lanka. We said we could swap with Ireland or Zimbabwe. This would have been the easiest way. But Sri Lanka said that we do not want any new team in our group. After voting I told him that I want one last chance to talk to my government. He said it was a legitimate issue, and gave me 24 or 48 hours to respond to him. I do not want to put pressure on the government. We know that India is not safe for us. We stand by our stand that we want to play in Sri Lanka. I know ICC did not give us permission, but we will talk to the government once again. I will convey the government’s response to the ICC. While taking any decision, the government thinks not only about the players but about everyone.
