Will Malasjuk completed his century in just 51 balls. With this century inning of Will Malaszczuk, Australia defeated Japan by eight wickets in the World Cup. Will scored 102 runs in 55 balls and gave Australia an easy victory while chasing the target of 202 runs. With this, Australia has made its place in the Super Six.

Batting first in the match, Japan scored 201 runs for eight wickets in 50 overs. In response, Australia scored 204 runs losing only 2 wickets in 29.1 overs and won the match. Apart from Will, opener batsman Nitish Samuel also played a strong innings for Australia in the match and remained unbeaten after scoring 60 runs in 73 balls for the team.
