WPL 2026 DC vs MI: In the 13th match of the Women’s Premier League 2026, Delhi Capitals displayed a strong performance and defeated Mumbai Indians with 6 balls remaining. This is only the second victory of Delhi Capitals this season. Captain Jemimah Rodrigues played an unbeaten half-century in the Delhi team.

Vadodara: After the strong batting of Shefali Verma and Lizelle Lee, with the fifty of Jemimah Rodrigues, Delhi Capitals defeated Mumbai Indians by 7 wickets in the 13th match of the Women’s Premier League. In the match, Delhi Capitals won the toss and decided to bowl first. Batting first, Mumbai scored 154 runs for five wickets with the help of Net Skiver Brunt’s unbeaten 66 runs in 45 balls. In response to this, Delhi’s Lizelle Lee, Shefali Verma and Jemimah led their team to victory with their unbeaten innings of 51 runs in 37 balls.

Experienced Marijane Kapp remained unbeaten after scoring 10 runs in six balls and completed the winning runs with a six. This is Delhi Capitals’ second win in five matches while Mumbai’s fourth defeat in six matches. Mumbai Indians captain Harmanpreet Kaur admitted after the defeat that the team will have to improve its bowling and batting in the powerplay. Delhi lost the wicket of Shefali Verma in the powerplay, who became the victim of left arm spinner Vaishnavi Sharma.

Delhi did not give chance to Mumbai bowler

Whereas Amanjot Kaur took the wicket of Lizelle Lee in the 11th over. Earlier, despite the comeback of Healy Mathews after recovering from injury, Mumbai Indians could not improve their performance in the powerplay. West Indies’ Mathews and his opening partner Sajeevan Sajna were out cheaply.

For Delhi Capitals, Marijane Kapp bowled accurately and took the wicket of Mathews for eight runs in four overs. Now the responsibility of scoring runs fell on Sciver Brunt and captain Harmanpreet Kaur. Harmanpreet scored 41 runs in 33 balls. Whereas Skiver Brunt remained unbeaten after scoring 66 runs in 45 balls with the help of two sixes and four fours. This is his third half-century this season. Apart from him, however, no batsman could survive.
