Lizelle Lee, WPL’s heaviest cricketer, fined 10 percent for violating code of conduct

WPL 2026: Lizelle Lee received 10 percent match fee fine and one demerit point for WPL code of conduct violation in the match against Mumbai Indians, which Delhi won by seven wickets.
Lizelle LeeVadodara: Delhi Capitals wicketkeeper Lizelle Lee was fined 10 percent of her match fee and one demerit point on Wednesday for violating the WPL code of conduct during the match against Mumbai Indians.
WPL said in a release, ‘Lee has admitted a level one offense under Section 2.2 of the Code of Conduct, which relates to disrespect to cricket equipment during a match, in which the decision of the match referee is final and binding.’
The incident took place in the 11th over of Delhi’s innings, when Lee was declared stumped out on the score of 46 after review by the third umpire. Displeased with the decision, Lee later said at the awards ceremony, ‘The wicketkeeper did a good job but that’s all I have to say about it.’ Delhi defeated Mumbai Indians by seven wickets in the match.
