New Delhi. The year 2025 was very exciting for motorcycle lovers in India, because this year many big brands launched new bikes in different segments. From entry-level commuters to mid-capacity adventure tourers and powerful twins, companies like Honda, KTM, TVS, Royal Enfield and Aprilia introduced bikes that were the perfect blend of performance, design and technology. Honda CB125 Hornet
Honda CB125 Hornet has a 123.94 cc, 4-stroke, SI engine, which comes with a 5-speed gearbox. This engine gives power of 11 HP at 7500 RPM and torque of 11.2 Nm at 6000 RPM. This bike can accelerate from 0 to 60 km/h in just 5.4 seconds and is said to be the fastest bike in its segment. The ex-showroom price of CB125 Hornet has been kept at Rs 1.12 lakh.
KTM 390 Adventure
The KTM 390 Adventure is slated to be launched in February 2025 and is expected to be followed by the KTM 390 Adventure R in January 2026. This series has a 399 cc single-cylinder LC4c engine, which generates power of 45.2 HP and torque of 39 Nm. It has 6-speed gearbox and slipper clutch. Its starting ex-showroom price is Rs 3.49 lakh.
TVS Apache RTX 300
TVS entered the adventure tourer segment in October by launching the Apache RTX 300, which is priced at Rs 1.99 lakh, ex-showroom. This bike is built on the company’s new platform and competes with KTM 250 Adventure, Yezdi Adventure and Royal Enfield Scram 440. It has a new 299 cc, liquid-oil cooled, single-cylinder RT-XD4 engine, which gives power of 35.5 hp at 9,000 RPM and torque of 28.5 Nm at 7,000 RPM. It also has a 6-speed gearbox with bi-directional quickshifter. Besides, it is also provided with assist and slipper clutch, due to which gear shifting remains smooth.
Royal Enfield Classic 650
Royal Enfield launched the Classic 650 Twin in March, with a starting ex-showroom price of Rs 3.61 lakh. It has a 647 cc air/oil-cooled parallel twin engine, which gives power of 46.4 hp at 7,250 RPM and torque of 52.3 Nm at 5,650 RPM. It has a 6-speed gearbox and slip-and-assist clutch. This bike competes with bikes like BSA Goldstar 650 in the Indian market.
Aprilia Tuono 457
The aluminum frame of the Aprilia Tuono 457 is shared with the RS457, but it offers a more comfortable and upright riding position. It has preload-adjustable USD front forks and rear mono-shock, while braking is done by single disc brakes on both the wheels, which are mounted on 17-inch alloy wheels. Tuono 457 has a 457 cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine, which gives power of 46.6 bhp and torque of 43.5 Nm. It has a 6-speed gearbox and optional bi-directional quick-shifter. Aprilia has especially highlighted its power-to-weight ratio.
